Love the post cars. Had a 66 Coronet post slant I changed out to a 440. I got it done, took it our for a little test and tune on a Missouri gravel road, crested a small hill hit some lose gravel and rolled it over. I should have fixed it but didn't, my bad!!

Cranky, I get it life gets in the way but I'll bet you will do it one way or another. You have had the car for awhile and even thru the divorce you still have it. So that tells me that you will build it. Even if you hit the road to pay for everything think of it this way. Nobody can stop you now.

Texas car lol. A buddy at work told me about the car sitting just outside of his neighborhood so went to look at it at noon time. Only had a 30 minute lunch so had to push it to be able to not be getting back too late. Saw the factory AC and thought, sure, bet that works. It was down on freon but still had a bit of pressure so what the hey, vacuumed it and charged it up and by golly it worked and worked good! Kinda sorry I pulled it out and sold it. Oh well. The horn rim and shifter shows how damp it is here. The car has been in the shop too except for when it was in the trailer. The trailer probably is a better place as it stays closed up.

One lower hinge was 2.6 lbs is now 1.4 lbs! Hard to believe these things are so heavy. Need to debur and maybe do a couple of more holes but that might net only about an ounce or so. So long as I can still remove pounds, I will but it's running out of areas lol. One big one is the trunk lid inner structure unless someone wants to donate a fiberglass lid. Still have the cheap glass hood that was bought 27 years ago and will need to do some work to make it nicer. Just might get this thing down to 2750 without a cage in it and that's the goal. Lots of mods have been done to it and even though not much work has been done recently, I did do things to it from time to time during it's 20 year hibernation. The car was 3370 before doing any work and got it down to 2950 without me in it. The factory AC was still in the car and working at that time....

Working on it.....one thing at a time. Need to do some floor work and only 'stuck' the doors on with the top hinges which were already done and need to have the bottom hinge on to be able to open and close them without a hassle to get in and out of it to do the floor work. That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Might not have a choice and doing that won't bother me. After all, I did drive it looking pretty much like it does now for several years. It had about 27 coats of paint (jk but it had a lot on it) and ended up taking it off with a razor blade and filling up two 5 gallon buckets! The paint got to where it looked like crap and was starting to create creators all over the car so decided to take it off. The two buckets weighed close to 300 lbs

7 months flew by! Where does the time go!? and the pics are gone on my hinge work. Oh well, I'll take some more soon. Don't know what the hey I've been doing with my time but sure haven't been working on the car much. The hinges are on and the driver's door is close to being aligned. Man, don't need any exercise equipment when working on that stuff lol! Still no jobs have come through. Had another lead but so far that hasn't done anything either. Did trial fit some wheels....the Centerlines and they are pretty close to the fender lip. The car does have a 68 rear end from a Charger but have a 66 housing but looks like it won't make that much of a difference. Was trying to avoid doing a mini tub job but might do it anyways.

Hinges on and door alignment kinda close. All the bolts are in place too.....next will be to stick in the replacement floor panel. While under the dash with the hinge bolts, I took this pic.....
