Specs call for heavy duty ball joints. Makes sense you want better ones then a slant six application. All ball joints I have seen have one number listed for all applications. Anyone have a number or know where I can get heavy duty ball joints.

Thanks.

What? Heavy duty would be rare. Maybe taxi. But you may end up replacing more than what you want to.

Well, rare today, for sure. But all 440 and hemi came with heavy duty.

Ok, 1967coronet440, don't tease a guy.. what is pst

Must be like some GM suspension pieces.
Same part number from Caddy to Chevy listed 5 different models and 5 different prices.
So check those part numbers real close if you think they were heavy duty.

What "specs" did you find this in? If more than one duty application ball joint was originally available I would suspect it's the light duty one that is no longer available and available replacements like Moog and PST are the equivalent off HD.

Anyone with a 66-72 factory parts manual could answer this. Unfortunately not many dealerships retained them.

Funny you would mention that. I do have the original parts manual for 1967 Chrysler passenger cars. They list three different upper ball joints: 2298533, 2298534 and 2808394. I agree with AR67GTX that you wouldn't think the only one available would be for slant six/ small block. I actually emailed two different suppliers and inquired if their ball joints were heavy duty and neither one responded. Regardless, I guess you just have to pick one that's available.
