Hi I need help with choosing the right formula to push my 67 gtx as much as possible with mostly stock components. Stock intake manifold and exhaust manifolds reworked stock carb changes would be made to the gears, cam and convertor 915 heads what kind of numbers can I possibly turn in the quarter Thanks

Really, do you know what you are asking? "as much as possible" "stock intake manifold and exhaust manifolds" change the gears, cam, converter with 916 heads.

What kind of numbers? 10.80 ET/120 MPH is possible.

Now, for real, how much money is in the budget?

You will never get into the 10's Lucky to be in the mid 11's without some serious work.

Unfortunately I am still doing body work at this time so I wanted to know what kind of numbers you guys are running that has been proven the budget is kind of tight but not worried the reason I ask is so I can start to squirrel away some parts that are necessary for the build and be ready when the time comes hopefully soon I am doing the body work myself and I am a little slow at it been at it for 2 years not a body man by trade but learning along the way I am a auto tech by trade thanks for the help BTW mid 11's are fine

i would say rat hole like 10k, and when your ready for an engine, get advice when your ready, things evolve over time.

i decided to bag body work this year on my Coronet and go engine first. bought some parts last year one a basic budget, then came into some money, and totally changed my planes. then sold off some of the parts as i decided to go hydraulic roller cam, and CNC ported heads. now i found out my intake manifold is going to be a restriction and i need another 700$ to fix that problem...it never ends.

I have 12K in my 440 runs 10.8 may be better after a few changes I made but, won't know till Later in July.

Just do a stock style rebuild on the 440 to get the car running and driving when the time comes. Then you can enjoy/drive the car, sort out the bugs, and build a more serious motor separately.
As a bonus, you'll gain experience and insight on what to do on a high performance build by doing the milder build first.

I disagree. Ever seen FAST class cars?? It just takes a lot of money and flogging the $#!+ out of the combo.
