I'm a ways out from this step but have been thinking about my options and wanted to get some opinions on a couple of things. My car is NOT going to be a show car, oem resto just wanting a cool street bruiser...
I've been toying with the idea on paint..it Wil be blue, maybe b5/ab5 or eb5 or somewhere in between. The question I have is I'm going back with a vinyl top, I really like the look of white top cars but my interior is black....can't afford to buy all new white interior how bad would that look? Were there any cars that came that way?
Also what 66-67s came with the wide lower rocker trim? Ive only seen a few with it on them and kind of like it....breaks up all that color...
Here are a couple of pics that melt my butter...Hope I don't offend anyone by using them!
Thanks guys!

Novice here, but I think the black top would be best, but I always like black interiors and tops........one thing to think about is white vinyl may be harder to keep looking as nice, and if it is ever becomes off-white with age, or if it gets stained somehow, you have to contend with that. Also, my 66 Coronet 500 has the wide bottom trim and I love it. Best of luck, either way, a '67 B Body will be nice any color, any time.

I've thought about the chore of keeping it clean...but I've bought black vehicles before too! Never again though!!! lol!!!
Thanks for the feed back Larry!

IMHO black vinyl on black int or painted top on white vinyl. could that be in card$$$?

*disclaimer*

Im partial to a painted top and white gut lol

Bottom right . I absolutely love that car, not a blue guy but that is one sweet ride with a nasty looking stance and the scoop just looks mean as hell. When I first read your question I cringed at the white vinyl top but after looking at the pics I get why you like it, looks great on blue. White all the way, go for it.

That has crossed my mind, I would like to see a close up of the transition at the b pillar on one that's been done...

You know I can't every remember really thinking this before....it's Darius' GTX fault!!! I saw that car and just thought it was perfectly badass, so I started digging around and the more I see the blue b bodies the more me likey! What do you think about it with a black interior?

B5 blue has always been my favorite. White top, painted or vinyl with body color steelies is a real sleeper look. But white top looks best with white interior, which might be hard to maintain. Black top and black interior is bad-***, magnums or steelies. Black top is the sportiest.

The mid belt line molding is a 500 model and the lower molding is from an R/T but I think the chargers had the same molding. Also, not a big fan of vinyl on the Coronet. My uncle had a chager with a white vinyl top and it looked good though. So the interior color if it's nice won't matter.

So the lower molding is off an R/T? I googled 67 Coronet RT and looked for images and saw very few that actually had it...I'm guessing it was optional for the RT package....????... I really like the car in the first pic that has the R/T tail....Do you know if those are repopped?
Thanks Ken!

Zoomed in and saw that the car is a 500 not an RT, I'm doing this on a tablet!

Thanks Runner, all I see ,unless I'm blind is the lower rocker molding. I'm wanting the lower body molding like this one....I'm guessing its called body molding not rocker molding.

That's definitely Coronet 500 trim. It shows up on ebay every now and then. Coronet 440 is not the same so be careful what you get. I might have a few pieces left over if you can't find something.

I've got a set of the wide rocker moldings that were originally on my car - they have been removed from my car. Let me know if you're interested.

Neverthought to ponder the interior color, but black on black would make sense. Look up the "white hat special" for that year, kinda funky advertising but was a package with white tops - cowboy hats and all.
