Hi, my name is wayne. My dad is xman. We are restoring his 67 gtx 440 4spd. He bought the car about 10 years ago. Just so happens it is the car he bought new in 67. We are painting the engine & brackets. Does anyone know what gets engine color, black & stays bare metal ? My doesn't remember. Back in 67 it was just a new car & my dad didn't pay that much attention to the details like that. Or does anyone know of a site I can get on to. Thanks

Wayne and dad, Mopar colors are my life lol but real research and documentation are pretty scant.
I found a factory brochure with a motor shot but not much else as far as accessories colors go.
If you keep going beyond the engine bay, I uploaded a Mopar Chassis Color Chart awhile back that you guys may find helpful.
Keep us posted on the progress!!

Kudos on going back to original! Here is my 1968 in mostly original colors. I think the 1968s and 1967s were the same except for the air cleaner type. The spark plug wires should be black, as should the radiator and the copper AC line. Other than that, I believe that I got pretty close to original colors.

I am a huge fan of X's and I am in the process of a complete OE restoration on my 69 X....Different engine color of course but the engine/parts were painted in the same manner with little differences between those years....

Pm me your number and I will be happy to relay whatever I can.....Justin

My dad is the XMAN I do all the computer work lol He knows nothing about computers & im close behind. Here is some pictures of my dads other GTXs. He has 2 67s & 1 68. All are 440s & 2 of them are 4spds. The 68 GTX he has owned since 1972 & has 53,000 original miles.

No, its a 68 but not a HP block. He does have 68 HP 440 for it. Not to long after it was painted, we pushed it out to wash it. My dad ran down town while I dried it off & a freak hail storm popped up. I didn't have enough *** to push it in by my self lol All I could do was watch.

I have 67 Gtx 4 speed car with MM1 external paint, white buckets with console. Black lacquer pain on doors with white vinyl scroll door inserts, black carpet. What color is the headliner ( white or black). Are there codes? Visors are white b

This GTX has interesting mounting holes on the drivers side inner fender well. Does anyone know what was mounted there?

Interesting as it looks very original down to the correct brake vacuum valve with black overspray, negative cable etc…are you the owner of that car? Love the turbine bronze on a 67 GTX! I just can’t imagine what someone would mount there and it’s pretty brutal the way the holes were made. Almost looks like vandalism…
