I looked trough the forums and threads for an answer to my question. Did not find one. Basically, what am I giving up if I go small on the front and big on the rear? What is ideal for a '67 Satellite with 440 hp and headers that are only 4" off the ground now? Current have 205 70R15 Michelin's on it. I would like to order BFG Coker redlines today. I think I have to stay with 70r15s, but I am concerned about ride & show. I do not race it, but enjoy seeing what it will do in the hills and curves of the Ozarks. If I do not go same size all round (if I do, what do you think about 215 or 225 or 235s?), then I am thinking about a combination of 215 or 225 up front and 255 or 275 on the rear. You can through in 235s if you like. Do I have space? Will I rub the rear on curves? The are going on 500 Magnums that are 6" I think, maybe 7".

If you sit original height, and 7" rims, you will be barely OK with 235s all the way around, either 14 or 15 inch.
Jacked up in back, you could get away with 255s there maybe.
Otherwise you need extra backspacing.
I really like the Firestone G70-14 redlines on 7 inch sreel rims, but after I put on Hotchkiss "improved handling" low stance leaf springs, I had rub problems on the driver's side.
Had to put booster leafs on the bring it back up 2 inches.

I believe I will go with 225s all around. I will give up the "bad ***" look, but appear more original. I thought about the 235s but do not want to take the chance of rubs, and I do not want to change the suspension. Thanks for your input. Darthomas, did you take the fact that I am running 15" Magnums, not 14"?

Yes, I was factoring that in.
Width aspect ratio is related to overall size, and 225R-15s should allow you to throw some side forces without rubbing.
Only other answer is getting it up higher in the air (both ends), that would buy you another size or two larger maybe.
But that changes the look of the car, and would raise the center of gravity, and decrease cornering stability.
