68 Charger quarter window roller guide assy

Not exactly sure what this piece is called but tried soaking it in SAFEST RUST REMOVER and it wasn't super safe. The zinc pieces or what ever they were that were crimped to the one guide section disappeared. I'm assuming those aren't being produced and also assuming that I need them there?
