Since you're selling it you won't get to enjoy it much. Nice job on the car.

Any of you guys ever had the convertor drain back problem? If it sits more then a week without running it drains back and leaks out some.I did some google checks and it seems fairly common with a 727 but i never did find a answer as to what causes it.
yeah I just put it in neutral after I fire it up, after about 30 or seconds, so the front pump is turning faster & gets the converter & all passages/lines full of fluid allot faster, it's very common, if they sit for a while between starts, mine only sits about a week at a time & still does it... pretty common stuff...Jay,
This is normal to an extent. Chrysler made the tranny to not pump fluid to the torque converter in park. Sometime around 72 they made a kit to replace the shift valve and slight modification to the valve body to make fluid go to the front pump and the converter. You may also have a worn out pump bushing. Another alternative would be to start the car in neutral, this way it will start filling the converter as soon as you turn it over . Or you can put the tranny in neutral during warm up. Then you won't have I am out of transmission fluid feel when you put it in gear.
