The taillight panel is a patched OE panel. Is your taillight panel OE metal or is it AMD? Also did the rear quarter lip line up ok to the taillight panel or did it need to be pushed in toward the taillight panel?
Thanks RT, kinda hard to tell but in the center pic, it looks like the bottom of the deck lid is flush to the trim. Which if you remove the trim the lip would over hang the tail panel.
Yes there is a step there, on mine it's less than an 1/8"...I'll see if I can find a better picture
Sorry I don't follow, can you get me a pic? Here is how I just measured. At both the right and left side inner lip of the tail panel about an inch or so past the radius I hooked the tame measure up. I brought the trunk lid down to just about closed. On both sides to the outer edge of the trunk was 2 7/8 inches. In the center it was 3 1/2 inches. See what yours measures and I can compare mine to what you show on a few posts above tomorrow if needed.

Hook the tape on the lip at the arrow. Bring the trunk to being just about latched and measure to the outer lip of the trunk lid at the arrow.
