I'm finally far along enough to start a resto thread! I really want to thank evryone on this site-all the info that has been posted is incredibly helpful.
I grabbed this car off Ebay in sept 2011, from a seller in Joliet Illinois. It was ordered like a lot of MoPars back then- all go no show! 383, 4 speed, airgrabber,A31 axle package, not many creature comforts! It was raced, blown up, raced, blown up again, and parked in the late 70s. It basically bounced around a few garages before I grabbed it.
I had a stout 440 built for it- '68 HP .030 over, KB236 pistons, balanced rotating assembly. 906 heads were redone with stainless valves- 2.14 intake and 1.81 exhaust.
The cam is Comp Cams XE275 with .525 lift and 231 duration and 237 on the exhaust. I used a stock 69 cast iron intake; I didn't want issues with the airgrabber airbox. I know it is not as good as aftermarket, but this motor seems to run strong with it!
I installed the motor with rebuilt trans, fresh clutch, rebuilt rear with 3.91s and worke most of the bugs out. I then pulled the drivetrain and did most of the major metalwork. The car is currently at the media blaster, and will soon be at the painter's shop for body and paint!
Here are a few pics of the progress-

Here's a few more. I converted to a pistol grip shifter because of the 'cool factor'. This car is going bach to A4 silver with V21 hood stripes, black vinyl top and black inerior-the way it was born. It'll have 15X8 rear and 15X7 steelies painted body color. My goal is to look stock but drive better!
