That is my worst fear. I have to do it all over again to spray the front wheel wells with undercoating. That stuff really makes me nervous as it goes on with a high pressure and likes to get everywhere.

Try clay bar if you see/feel any paint overspray.

Couple of shots of the original front fender undercoating. I am building this car to be a driver so wanted to put more than the factory did around the shock towers just to help prevent rock chips in the paint.

And then a day and a half getting templates made, scuff up the paint, tape off, and spray on Resto Ricks undercoating. Not a fun job at all, but I think it turned out nice.

Decided to tackle the glass division channel guides. Unfortunately at this time we are stuck with some poorly made very expensive pieces of plastic reproductions. Supposedly DMT was working on getting a run made of quality ones, but has since given up. Another member mentioned that Tonys Parts has them in the works though and we need to hope that he can get them made. I found that the best way to cut them was to use a small sharp scissors used for trimming finger nails and a razor blade. For the 2 holes, I first tried a hole punch. I found that the material is quite brittle and it would crack/split when hitting it with a punch. Also it was about impossible to get the holes in the correct spot. Another member mentioned using a solder iron, and that worked great. Hold the piece exactly where it needs to be and gently plunge into the hole. Then very gently clean the melted chunks off with a razor blade. I also trimmed about a 1/16" off both outermost flaps. I cleaned up my old plastic guides and reused them because it was mentioned that the new repops are slightly over sized.

Not sure if this is the correct way to install, but I found it is way easier to install the vent wing into the door first. I then removed the phillips screw at the top and shimmed it apart just enough to slide the glass in. Took apart the bottom support. Cleaned, painted, and put in a new pin. I was unable to get the new crappy mylar to slide in the channel, so I put a small piece of tape on the leading end. This ended up working great.

Lookin Good Joel! I used that method to remove a door glass in a salvage yard. I think I put mine back in all together though with some help from my wife. Mine went together pretty easily since I had some NOS Mylar sliders. I did use my old plastic guides. I used a hole punch for the holes but I like the idea of using a soldering iron. I helped another guy install a set of the aftermarket glides and found what everyone else is saying. They don't like to slide in the channel and they are more brittle. We ended up tweaking the channel on his to get the window to slide the way it should. I can't wait to see your Bee in person.

Rump stripe color...... What interior are you going with? I like things to blend in rather than contrast. I guess I'm a fan of the sneaky subtle look rather than the in-your-face look. IMO with a black interior, I vote for Matte black or even Carbon Fiber. However, like your thread says (my way) That is the way it should be.
