Window installation did go well. A member here recommended a couple guys from a shop in the neighboring town that does all the window installs for Muscle Car Restoration. First time that I have used them and am happy with their work. This is the product they use on the front glass.

How did they use that on the front window?

Yep, I got very lucky and ended up with the greatest wife in the world. It has black interior and I am staying with that. I just love T5 and think this color combo is just flat out sexy.

How did they use that on the front window?

They first placed the glass on a stand and put the gasket on it. Then squirted that stuff in the sides and top of the rubber were it goes on the pinch weld. Laid a nice bead on the bottom channel on the car. Took the gasket off the glass and installed it on the car. Then put the glass in. I had to take a phone call at that point and didn't see if they squirted some between the glass and gasket. They did say that this product never really hardens.

Very productive Friday afternoon and Saturday for me. Another first for me on this car. Decided to install the motor and trans from underneath. Cobbled up a roller from one of my engine stands and clamped another cart behind that. Doesn't look pretty, but it did the job. I will say, if the suspension is apart, this is definitely the easiest way to install a motor. Don't have to take the hood off, worry about scratching paint, no working over your head to install the flywheel, clutch, and transmission. And the header install is the smoothest install I have ever done.

One of my original strut rods was bent, so instead of finding another used one I decided to get a new pair from Mancini. Advertised to fit as stock except thicker main shaft. I blasted, primed, and painted them last fall and set them aside. Go to install them today and low and behold, they wont fit. Everything was fine except the area where the bushing goes was to big. Had to find a friend with a lathe and take .060" off. This is the way things seem to go for me on these old cars. Spent a good chunk of the day just getting strut rods and lower control arms bolted to the car.

Not yet, life has shifted gears dramatically as of this year. My daughter has been begging for a bike so I bought her a Kawasaki KLX140 for Christmas which then led to me getting another bike as well so it's been all about riding lol.

Hey Rich. The K-frame splash shields came with all these cars. I just cleaned mine up and have some large aluminum pop rivets that are like the originals. I have never seen it, but have heard that some were bolted on instead of riveted. Don't know if that was an assembly line difference? You can buy the shields new if yours are missing.

super job hunt, what brand headers you have and how do they fit? what motor mounts did you use? is it a good fit with ramcharger and intake? thanks

TTI headers and they fit great. One spot on the passenger side where they are real close to a boss on the bell housing. I always just grind a tad off that for good measure. This is the 4th car I have used TTI's on and every one has been touching there. Other than that, ample room everywhere.
Moroso solid mounts.
I just ordered a 440 ramcharger air cleaner base because I didnt want to cut my original 383 one. I knew this was going to be an issue because the Weiand intake is 1/2" taller that stock.
