69RR non console 4spd shifter boot bezel. Original has 8 screws and all I’m finding is like 4 screw ones. Am I not looking in the right place? I’ll have my original re chromed if need be. Thanks peeps.

Have you tried Brewer Performance?

Do you have an original that has 8 holes? All of the ones that I have seen have 4 holes. If you have an 8 hole one, please show us a picture.

The boots have 8 holes and the chrome top trim piece only has 4.

I’m lucky to have a good friend that does chrome plating and such. I went to a show last month and there was a couple 4spd cars with four screw bezels and I couldn’t stop looking at them

It looks like all the holes in yours are chamfered so the screw heads are countersunk. It's not like someone just drilled extra holes.

Yes it’s factory along with the remnants of the original boot. Car sat for over 35 years untouched.

Wow, I would save that one and have it re chromed. Cool original piece. Thanks for the picture.

That 8 hole boot is a lower boot for a console 4 speed. Non console cars may have 8 holes in the boot but the trim rings are 4 bolt. I think the OEM 8 bolt lower console boot rings were just plain steel not stainless or chrome.

Most likely something to that but I do believe it is original to the car and maybe a factory goof up. There is a pn of 295007-53495 on the ring. Extra holes in hump appear even/round and factory drilled.
Did all non console cars have eight holes in the hump and just use four screws? Maybe that’s the deal.

4 screws on all trim bezels I have seen and owned. Never ever saw 8 hole trim bezels and I doubt you will find one

I think you are misunderstanding what you have. Like stated above, a non-console boot has 8 holes. It goes between the metal hump and the carpet. It is held to the body with 4 screws. Then the chrome trim ring, held on with 4 chrome screws, covers up the ragged carpet edge. These 4 screws go through the extra 4 in the bottom boot.
This is what I think you are showing a pic of, it is a bottom boot for a console car. Totally different animal.

69 FPM says
Boot with plate w/o console 2950074
Boot with plate with console 2996454
Trim ring w/o console 2534511
Screws quantity 4 all applications 9415537

So all boots should of had a plain steel plate. The ones w/o console got the chrome trim ring. Looks like all only took 4 screws no matter what car line or application. Could 4 of been used on the boot in the other holes. Might of been. I cant remember. 8 holes in the shift tunnel makes it sure seem like 8 could of been used. Parts manual just shows 4. So who knows.

Poster most likely is missing the chrome trim ring.

I guess when in doubt look at FSM dummy. Boot should have plain steel ring and attached with four screws then add chrome trim ring on top with another four screws
