7 QT Dip stick?

That one has the flared sump and doesn't hang down as far as the 31010 does. I have both but haven't checked them. Checked one or the other many moons ago but don't remember how many quarts spill over the baffles. Something that's way more important than the dip stick is to make sure you have the right pickup and it's about 1/8th to 3/16ths off the bottom.

That's the internal pickup one right? I have the 30931 which has the external pickup. Reason I was asking is to see if the sumps are the same. When I put my 30931 pan on last week I only put 7 qts of oil in it. Maybe I should add another 1/2 qt to account for the filter - but that little bit shouldn't make the difference between no reading on the stick and ample reading.

....yes...... 30930 is an internal pickup pan. But, if you check Milidon's catalogue, all big block and hemi pans get the same dipstick, part number 22070. Sump depth and configuration make no difference.

Like I said, my stock dipstick works fine and I'd be glad to provide some measurements so you can check yours.

I have the 22070 stick.If you could send the measurements that would be great!

Measurements as follows:

From engine block to top of dipstick tube 16 1/2"
total length of dipstick extending into tube 23 1/16"
length to 'ADD' mark 21"
length to full mark 20 7/16"
