I have a 70 GTX for sale, original GTX, not a copy. $17,000
http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?t=5633

I hate to part with this bada** car, but I am moving to a much bigger city and I have to downsize. The non-#'s matching 440 has just been reinstalled after a rebuild by a reputable builder (Pilcher Automotive, Enterprise, AL). It has a mild comp cam. I am told the 727 tranny was rebuilt some time ago, but I am unsure of miles since then. Most of the suspension bushings have been replaced, there' is one rod end that is a little bit older than the rest. There are a lot of new parts on this car, including new floor and trunk pans. The rest of the body is in decent shape, but it does need paint. The repaint (black over original red) on it now looks oks from about 25 feet away, but is far from show quality. There are cracks in the paint that appear to from a bad batch of paint, or maybe from painting or mudding in the Alabama humidity? The front passenger fender may be from a parts car that had been wrecked, because it seems to be slightly out of shape, although it looks smooth. There are just a couple rust spots behind the rear quarter window where a new rear quarter was welded in. I think this coul d be repaired with proper body work. New northern radiator and electric fan, I do have the original fan, also. New bumpers, new seat covers, new pro-comp gauges. The wiring is ok for now, but I had planned to replace the whole harness with something cleaner once I got all the gauges situated and debugged, and decided on an ignition. Right now ignition is stock.

I will add more pics and details by the end of the weekend.

Lower Price

Car is still for sale. Here are some more pics. I will entertain any reasonable offer to get the car sold at this point, I have to move in three weeks!

And more description:

1970 Plymouth GTX, must sell due to move to a big city. Beautiful car, many consider this the best looking classic mopar body style. This is an original GTX, not a copy. The car was originally red, but was repainted black after a major restoration. The body is in decent shape. Car has new floor pans, and several panels on the back end were replaced due to rust.

Other new parts include: Seat covers, interior panels, headliner, black carpet, dash cover, chrome bumpers, gas tank, exhaust, torque thrust wheels, all 4 tires, shocks, suspension and steering bushings, grille, radiator and electric fan with controller. The 440 is not numbers matching, but it was just rebuilt by Pilcher performance (a reputable local builder). The engine has new pistons, new mild upgrade camshaft, new crank. The power steering gear has also just been rebuilt. The original instrument panel and steering wheel will go with the car, but I have a new set of auto-meter gauges ready to install, as well as a Grant steering wheel.

The 727 transmission drives, and I am told it was rebuilt, but I am not sure how long ago (if it ever really was). The exhaust manifild on the driver's side was the worng one for this year when I bought the car, so I corrected that and put the right one on. The connection to the pipe changed position, so the drivers side exhaust will need to be cut and re-welded.

Whats left:

The wiring in the car is good enough to run it, but the harness has been modified to get the new gauges installed and working. If I were to keep the car, I would finish all the electrical upgrades I wanted (stereo, electronic ignition, etc) and then order a pre-made harness custom built for the car. The black rrepaint on the car looks ok for a driver, but something must have happened to the paint mix or conditions during the paint curing, because the paint has cracked in several spots. There is a weld where the rear quarter panels were replaced that is bubbling through the paint. There is also a place inside the door jamb where you can see the old red color.

Some of the window felts and seals need to be replaced. I have the carpet and interior out of the car right now because the rain gets in if I am working on it outside.

The car will need an alignment before driving it very far. The seat covers are all installed except for the rear bench back. I have a piece of padding ready, I just have not put it back on. The front seat seems to have a piece broken on the passenger side; the seat back comes off when you try to fold it forward. It looks simple enough to fix with a weld, or maybe just a replacement hinge.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I can send more pics of certain things if you email me. The reserve is low, I must sell at a loss due to a move. My loss is your gain.

Please make arrangements to pay and pick up the item within 7 days of the auction close before bidding.

I have the fender tag, it is in rough shape, but (to the best I can interpret) it reads:

R22 V6X END

V1X A04 G33 J25 M21 N31

FE5 P3X9 T19 A23 127G12

E86 D32 RS23 U0G 149489

Okay, not much interest yet. I know it is normally against the rules in this section, but any opinions on what it's worth?

I may consider trades, especially if it is a small pickup, lower mileage. Please, make an offer.

It's on ebay now, no reserve, ridiculous low start price!!!

Relisted on ebay, now $6,000 NR!!!! I am having trouble authenticating it as a real GTX, even I now doubt that it is, so the price went WAY down.

Yes, can't find any stampings on the body or radiator support. On ebay again, btw.
