What's it Worth 70 GTX

70 GTX 440, console 4 speed, Dana, Matching numbers, A34 super track pack, N96, P/B, P/S, EK2 Vitamin C. Very nice condition.....eng compartment and interior is really nice as well. Asking low $70's.....sound fair??

In the current market, yes. I sold my '69 4 speed numbers matching GTX for a fraction of that in 2021, but it recently changed hands at over $80K.

Buying....I did describe it. The interior is nice, black bucket seat console, the bottom has no rust but I do not have a pic of it. Just looking for an educated guess given what you see.

I had a serious offer on the current GTX last year that was almost twice what I paid and currently have it insured for. I researched the guy's back story, and it was no bs. Wealth in the hundreds of millions. They are out there, and some of them like B bodies.

I get ridiculous offers for my cars all the time. I don't care what they are worth. I just love these cars for what they are. I still feel like a kid when driving them.

At that price point, I'd want to see pretty serious documentation, and complete owner history. I recently did an inspection for a fellow FBBO member on a really nice '69 Road Runner with an immaculate paper trail, and he ended up buying the car for considerably less than the asking price on the GTX in question. If a deep pocket guy decides he likes the car as well as you do, all bets are off.

Thanks all..now the question I am wrestling with. I have someone offering me $65K for my 70 Cuda. Matching number 383, 4 speed, Sniper FI, p/s in really good condition. I really wanted to get into another B Body but I think the $65K is low. Fender tag and 2 build sheets. Thoughts on that??

I was in your situation in 2021 when I sold my four speed car to buy a numbers matching '68 Hemi GTX from a fellow FBBO member. Even at 2021 prices, I took a bath on the car I sold, relatively speaking. But the Hemi was a once in a lifetime deal for me in terms of price, condition, and location. I bit the bullet on the sale of the one I already owned, got a great deal on the Hemi and never regretted the move. A lot depends on the final price and condition of the GTX in question. Don't have experience in E body pricing, but my experience in selling GTX's (three nice ones since 2021) is that low ballers will beat a path to your door.

Me too. However, I am a B Body and an E Body guy. I like them both and own both.

I would keep the Cuda. Similiar value give or take and you know what you have. Most of the time new car=new problems.

Kind of what I was thinking.....knowing what I have vs the unknown. I threw some money at an inspector and should have a report possibly tomorrow. If the car checks out then I am going to have to decide.....

I wish I could, but I don't have the room. Only way to make room is sell the Harley's and that ain't happening..... so it's either keeping the Cuda or buying the GTX......
