Oil tank and the valve cover no longer interfere... work and rework. Never ends.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just put a smaller motor in it?:poke:

Looks great.

You sir have a knack for this. Big things in tight spaces is no small feat.
Thanks. It’s been a packaging challenge and I’ve still got a ways to go. I’ve figured out the serpentine belt system and need to start rounding up parts for that just as soon as this plumbing is done.

Started on the driver side intercooler tank. Made some quick patterns and it fits nicely.

I wonder what the weight distribution will be on this car? Lots of extras going on the front. If I remember correctly the last time I weighed my 69 RR when I was racing I had it at 54/46. That was with a lot of fiberglass. Any guesses Mike?

Believe it or not, my 70 is 52/48 even with the steel hood and heavy block. This car is getting a bunch of nose weight but things like the aluminum block and fiberglass hood will help. The weight bias isn’t as big a factor with the power adder radial cars now that all the power management tuning aids are available. It is what it is I guess.

Looks like your using a spool gun on the aluminum, how do you like it?

It’s actually TIG. The torch is hanging through the hole. If it looks like spoolgun weld it’s just my inability to TIG well lol.

****, totally thought it was a spool gun. Hey, everyone needs practice with a TIG. You’ll get the hang of it real soon.

That looks pretty darn decent!
Decent is good enough for something that’s going to be blasted, powdercoated and hung under a fender. My biggest concerns are it fitting well, functional and water tight.
