Damn brother you don't mess around! That 70 is seriously Badda$$
C&S Facebook had pics of a Mustang with a Dyno sheet showing 1600 HP off a small block..... I was guessing that's the aforementioned
Yeah, that's it. Roger and Chase both came up for the dyno. We're going down there soon and we're gonna put it on the chassis dyno and then take it to the track.

Had to cut 1-1/2" off the bent lower piece of the crossmember. I tried notching it at first to add a little strength, but that didn't work out so I just cut it off flush.

I tacked it back up and test fit it again. I like it better. I'd rather have it another 1-1/2" shorter, but the rack mounts won't allow it. It will serve as the lowest thing on the car and will probably get a skid plate. I've been known to need them.

The fit to the frame is pretty good.

I then finished welding the crossmember to the sides while it was on the car. It fits right back on after welding. That's a plus!
With that done, I stepped over to my plasma table building (translation: I called a buddy and recalled a favor and he cut these) and zipped out some lower control arm mounts. The little step in them clears the frame rail as the 2x2 laterals sit inward just about .100" or so.

Booom!!.......the tops of the brackets are the shock mounts. They'll get welded to a profiled backer that will pull the two brackets together at the top and form the shock mount. I'm still debating whether or not to lengthen these to run a longer shock and have more shock travel. We'll be running 2" drop spindles to get the front down so I'm not sure yet what's needed.
The brackets will have a tube welded through the holes. It will contain the lower pivot shaft like the AlterKtion. Unlike the AlterKtion, mine will be shorter. It will have slip on spacers on the ends like a fox body mustang to allow the lower control arm to be moved forward and backward some. This will make it easier to dial in more caster for high speed stability. I thought about modifying this design into a front strut conversion, but the rules for most of these classes prohibit it.
and the other....
