`70 road runner, FC7, 383, 727 It`s waited long enough, finally time to get it done.

I know most of us have limited budgets for our Mopars whether buying done or building, mine probably being smaller than most. I take pride in doing all the work myself especially the metal, body work and paint as that is one of first things people see when checking out a classic car and for the most part enjoy it. But - one of things I would have liked to have paid to have done was to have everything sand blasted as doing it all by hand is time consuming and not at all fun.

I hear you - not fun at all. But it is a good testament how these cars can be brought back without 6 figure budgets.

Exactly! I see so many posts about how it will cost $80-100k or more to restore some rusted Mopar and how it`s not worth it and people don`t believe me when I say mine will be done for around $30-35k . Even if you can`t or don`t want to do the finish body and paint there is a lot of work most anybody can do to save paying someone else. Fortunately since I replaced the trunk pan, extensions and full front floor pan there isn`t a lot of original undercarriage to strip and clean and on the rotisserie is much better than lying on a creeper with the car on jack stands which is how I did my Barracuda.
 
Third and last caved in frame rail repaired, somehow the passenger front escaped the wrath of all the previous owners floor jacks. :rolleyes: On to zapping up the holes from the self tapping screws used to hold the floor pan down tight and continue cleaning up the rest of the original floor and rails.
