i would never have released the output shaft from the retainer ring until after i removed the speedo pinion as it will hang up on the output shaft...

hmmm maybe i should put an instructional video out on 727 rebuild? i didnt watch all of it, but he was right on for what i did watch.. a little different than my process, but achieve the same results.
