Got a question
Got a small leak when my car is sitting on incline of my drive way (nose of the car up higher). Looks like it is coming from where the drive shaft connects to the trany. Any suggestions, someone suggested there may be a overflow valve in case to much fluid is added. Sounds like a stupid question but wanted to get some advice from the knowledgeable. I am thinking it may be the rear seal as the car was sitting for a while and was not properly lubed because the proper grease fitting was not available at the time.

Thanks for any input IMG_2079.jpg

Hey Fast! Nice looking '63

Your leak sounds like the tailshaft seal. The trans fluid will lay in the tailshaft, then when on a incline, will leak out through the worn seal. Need to check the bushing just inside for wear too. Push up and down on the drive shaft and see how much play is there.
Do you have the older trans with the "ball and trunion", or is it the newer style "slide in yoke"?

Thanks for the reply ! It is a newer yoke style Trany, had to update after installing a big block. I will get under her this weekend and check for play.
