:angry1:I Hate Your Car!!!:angry1:

OK, not really.LOL I just noticed that no one else was posting there hate??
I'd be kinda hate'n my cars ???? Question: Why no front bumper??

they hate it, just not posting ever since my comment in the 37,000 mile daytona thread. you cant imagine all the bs i have taken for building a 77 charger, even by mopar guys. it has even been referred to as the end result of a chevy laguna and a camaro after sex.

i have the front bumper, i just havent put it on because it weighs about 100 pounds lol

i think it looks tuff with the body color wheels

Yes I can! I built a Cordoba, which a some people think is a Monte Carlo or Grand Prix. Most people do like what I've done with it but others not so much. I once even got into a argument with an "expert" who asked why I didn't build a Charger because "MOST of them had 440s and 4-speeds".

My bumper is still installed but I do plan on lightening it.

About every 20th person I meet when driving my 1979 Black Magnum GT calls it a Monte Carlo? :confused5:

the 75-77 B Bodies have never gotten any respect. when i was 10 years old, my next door neighbors brought home a brand new 77 charger daytona. i have had so many mopars but i have always had a thing for these cars

you can get the A body scoop through these guys http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/Factorystylescoops.htm

it was 120 bucks when i bought mine, but they have gone up.

that is awesome that you are starting him early, my dad did the same and it is something i will never forget.

in the sea of early muscle cars, these are truly the last of the big block B Bodies. there was a thread here somewhere where (jonnyuma?) cheesgrated the entire inner structure and maybe made one out of fiberglass? not sure on that.

that black magnum with red interior and t tops with those wheels is just plain bad-***. i love that car and it is an excellent example of how good these later B's can look. my charger is always mistaken for a monte carlo, but there is no mistaken the lines of a mopar

thanks for the kind words guys, all your rides look great !

I think you guys here have some great looking cars, anyone that thinks your Charger doesn't look good is hard to believe, that black intimidating Magnum there looks great to, ive seen some good looking cars here and i wish more would sign up and show there's... we all work hard making our rides the way we want them, ill be damned if im fixing one up to please others, ive taken my fair share of guff with a 73 and it being a clone, but im not leaving nor hiding.. You guys here have as much to be proud about as anyone else with there cars! I have a simple question.....is there any tricks to taking the 1/4 window trim off....I dont wanna risk breaking the glass doing it.

Easier that you might think!

It's real simple, take a tongue depressor or popsicle stick
and slowly pry them off from the outer and inner edge. The
trim has soft metal tabs that will bend and release.

^Pictured is vinyl top opera window trim.^
Not sure what year they came off of? Found them when Old Tired Rebel
took me to his local area yard. I do know they're from a older Cordoba.

Q: You wouldnt happen to have any more louvers like that one
Sorry, I do not at this time. I have non-vinyl units on my GT that I will be
getting rid of in the near future as I'm taking molds of these for my GT.

Side_window_louvers_-_001.jpg

Going to remove the fake stitching and vinyl look from these and add a
sharper look to the edges. Then make matching rear window louvers.

This is what my 79 has right now.

AHHHH.... I see the difference!.....the car is a ways away from hitting the road so when and if you do decide to let them go holler....I will be checking ebay all the time too.....

I never knew the Charger did not have the opera window on the side. I like it.:headbang:

It came out with it but it was a option not to have it. I like it better without.

every single 75-79 B Body has the opera style window. it could not be deleted or filled in from the factory. the only alteration is the louvered covering that came on the charger se and the magnum

the quarter glass has sealer and clips holding it in, when i painted, i removed the glass and then bent over the clips that hold the louvers on and removed.
