I have a 70 Bee with aftermarket cross member. I believe 833 is 1967,no serial number or pad on it. Brewers says to use 68/69 cross member for that 4 spd. Sound right and why? After market one on the car you can not get to the mount bolts,I think someone made it.

In 1970 the trans mount position on four speeds was changed so that the trans crossmember was the same for both auto and manual. You need a 66 to 69 manual trans crossmember or a1970 tailshaft housing and a 1970 crossmember. You need a crossmember anyway, so I would get the earlier four speed one. The 66-69 crossmembers have bigger holes than the 70, so a little welding, or at least big washers will be required. Typing at the same time as Dipstick.
