This is my new wing car project! It is a real 70 Charger R /T body on a modern Loughlin style Nascar chassis and a Daytona aero kit on it. It will be powered by a 472 Hemi that will be upgraded with the 705 hp Edelbrock top end kit. It also has a TKO 5 speed and a full floating 9 inch rear axle.

Here are some pictures of the car.

One of the previous owners was trying to turn it into a Fast and Furious Daytona wannabe so I have to reskin the doors and replace the front fenders and hood with stock 70 Charger sheet metal. I have replaced the drivers side door skin with an NOS one.

That's cool, it is the perfect platform to build a wing car on.

I am going to sell the two front fenders that came with my car, as well as the hood. The fenders have the inner structure and headlight buckets removed and would not be useable on a street Charger, but would be good for someone building a Daytona race car. The hood has been customized so that instead of the two depressions, there is one large depression. The underside bracing was removed and a square tube inner structure was built for the hood. I will post some pictures soon. I figured I would offer them to the wingcar guys before I post them in the exterior parts for sale section.

I got the reskinned door installed back on the car. I am going to put the car on the lift today and remove it from the dolly that it is on. The dolly is interfearing with the fitment of the front fenders. I fitted a stock 26 inch radiator support to the chassis. I decided to go this route, because the fenders and Daytona nose assembly are designed to fit to a stock radiator support. I will have to make a crash bar with two down tubes to tie the radiator support to the chassis, and upper left and right crash bars. I will post some pictures later today. I will include some of the fenders and customized hood that I will be offering for sale too.

Very nice. Can't wait to see this one finished!

Love the title by the way, "Baby's in Reno with the vitamin D, got a couple of couches, sleep on the love seat."

I got the pictures of the fenders and the hood that I am going to sell. The fenders have been cut and welded with no rhyme or reason that I can find. The inner structure of them has been removed from them and square tube welded to the edges of them. They would only be usable on a Daytona stock car or race car,or maybe a modified custom Daytona. They would be good for someone who wants to cut or modify them instead of cutting up an original pair of 70 Charger fenders. I would take $ 250 for the pair plus shipping.

This is the hood, it was modified to have one large impression instead of the two depressions like the factory hoods had. It would require aftermarket hinges to make it work. It will fit any 70 Charger or Daytona clone. It has a square tube inner structure. I would take $ 400 plus shipping. I didn't make the hood, it came with the car.

Aside from the parts that came with my car that I am not going to use, I got some more work done on the car. I took the car off the dolly and got it on the lift. The reskinned drivers side door is back on the car, and I fitted a painted racing mirror on it. I have been working on fitting a 70 Charger dash frame into the car,and was happy to see that the roll bar that comes up from the floor to support the crash bar behind the dash fit right through the dash frame where the ash tray was in the stock dash. I also started fitting the drivers side front fender and other than cutting some of the inner bracing out of the dog leg inner structure the fender will fit fine. The next thing I have to do is fab up some mounting brackets to bolt the fender to the car.

I just ordered the rest of the parts to get the Hemi ready to go to the machine shop. I ordered the stroker windage tray, the push rods, the roller link bar lifters, and the rocker arm adjustment screw kit. The next thing I have to do is pull the Hemi out of my other 70 Charger R /T SE, so I can bring it to the machine shop.
