Who is using what and have you had good or bad experience? What are the specifics of your application?
I have a set of Edelbrock RPM heads...I haven't used them on anything yet but I had them flowed. They flowed about the same as a set of 906's that were maxed ported and those were on a 440 in a Road Runner that ran mid 10's. The shop that flowed both said that the Eddys would outperform the 906's because of a better design combustion chamber and port design. Flow bench numbers is only a tool and not the final test of how a head performs on a car in the real world. I won't go into detail on what was in the car since the Eddy heads never went on it...
Oh man, I chuckle sometimes when I hear people reciting flow numbers and talk about how fast their cars are going to be and then are disappointed when it doesn't run the number they thought it would and then blame whoever ported their heads. Same way with engine dyno numbers. Doesn't mean squat if the car can't put the power to the pavement....I believe there is more truth to this statement than some people want to believe. You can cut a hole in the top of the port and get more flow but in reality that probably won't work very well. On a wedge design there is some magic in making all the AF mixture make the corner into the cylinder.
