Aftermarket temp gauge install

Update...just ordered a water pump housing since the plug is now rounded on the inside when the plug itself broke so now there is no where to grab to get it out......pump coming.......will be here middle of next week. And I thought this would be simple:angryfire:

drill it and easy out it. sometimes they're stubborn, but they will come out. of course if you gotta buy the tools to do that you might be farther ahead with the new housing. alum i hope.

Mine is too......going to try again tomorrow.......if it doesn't come out, I guess I need a water pump housing to make this work....figures......
There should be a plug on the intake or on the radiator the same size...
Plus someone posted the sender that fits the stock hole on here such would be easier than a housing?

That' a common problem. I had to buy a new housing. I have both a VDO electric temp gauge and the idiot light connected via 2 separate ports on the new aluminum housing.

Don't see one on my Edelbrock intake and the factory sender is electric and the one I want to add is manual and much larger.

I could drill if I wanted to, but figured since I am doing a radiator and the cooling system will be empty I would just do the pump housing.
