Air conditioner bracket idler pulley

Does anyone have the part number and where to find the idler pulley that goes on the air conditioner bracket? The one that rides on the back of the twin belts? Got everything apart so might as well replace that too.

Was the idler only on big block with AC? Just curious as my 73 small block never had one.

Not saying yours is,,,but some of them, the bearing is replaceable. I had a heck of a time looking for one that was on a 68 273 Valiant. That one, the bearing was part of the idler and not replaceable.Local part stores had some that were similar.I got one that came with a bracket, I removed said bracket and just used the idler.

I had a 73 Sebring plus 400 2 barrel years ago and it did not have the idler. I do remember seeing the belts bounce quite a bit, so thinking they added it in 74? I will look to see If I can replace just the bearing. Just freshening everything up while changing the timing set. Ordered new fuel pump, water pump, oil pump etc. as they are inexpensive and don't want to take things apart again

The pulley is mounted on part of the Compressor bracket assembly... and it seems to be a lates 74 thing. The full Compressor bracket changes for it.

Note the AC hose also changes when iddler pulley is equipped

I think is just Lates 74 BB, probably because the distance between Compressor and Alternator is really long, so the iddler helps to save distance for slapping belts

I ended up making one from an idler pulley off a '95 Lincoln town car. It cut the vibration from the jumping belts completely.
