Torsion bars do the same...

That sway bar won't fit in, no worries! Lower hole lets you flip it up one way to do one side, upper hole lets you do the other side. Then turn it around and do the other 1/2 !

That’s cool, never thought about doing that. I bought a 46”x28”x28” cabinet about 25 years ago, really wished that I had bought the next size bigger. This is one of those tools that I’d hate to give up, I use it a lot more than I ever thought I would.

We had a nice big blasting cabinet at my camera manufacturing company, but we needed to blast scaling materials 1/8x1" that might be fourteen feet long. We had little sliding doors on each end so something really long could be blasted. Three sided wood frame with a wood plate that filled the hole.

Yup works for blasting brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, speedo cables, shifter cables (push button auto) too.

I actually want to sandblast my dash frame. It’s too long but I’m thinking about putting it in and then covering the opening of the blasting cabinet with some plastic.

I just did mine outside with a bucket of crushed glass and my cabinet gun. Probably end up doing the same with the Dart's K frame..

Hey Wayne, looks like you have a vacuum of some sort hooked to the cabnet. I thought about using my shop vac but I know it would clogg up too quick. I just take the setup outside because of all the leaks. It even builds up pressure inside the cabinet if the small filters get clogged.

No I don't.. I don't listen to a compressor run in my shop, so I sure ain't listening to a shop vac. Exhaust out the door and I run an air bleed into the back of the cabinet to flow the dust outside.

Here is another option. I hooked up a 4" inline fan and run it out a port in my garage door with 3" pvc. Very quite and surprisingly has lasted through countless hours of blasting so far.

I use my shop vac. I just take the end and stick it loosely into the side of the cabinet hole. It collects all of the loose dust floating around. I’ve never had a problem with it clogging my filter.

What's with the fan on top Wayne?
Yeah mine's a bit loud but I just use my wireless headphones with some Metallica or some Joan Jett cranked. Come in handy and they do work nicely. No complaints here. And the I blast right in front of the compressor. 8' Flexzilla 1/2" hose. The compressor doesn't cycle that much. I only blast around 35psi. The beads and a #4 nozzle seam to work best around there. YMMV
My vacuum pickup is at the other end than your guys. I'm blasting away from my exhaust and towards my intake. Less loss of media to the filtration system.



When it comes time I'm gona grab one of these. They have them in various dimensions just down the road. 5" hole saw and Bobs your uncle. Use these in the fishing boats all the time. Not a bad price and water tight. Helps to be surrounded by water and ice.
