Regional slang is pretty funny.
I’ll tell Larry when it’s done,so he can come look, lol.Around the corner and 16' down the wall done, moving along pretty good all things considered. Need to mortar the last 8' then set up for another 16' run.View attachment 1272483 View attachment 1272487 View attachment 1272488 View attachment 1272489 View attachment 1272490

I was a young man working a summer job when I learned about the measurement called a CH and the ULTRA fine measurement called RCH.....Understand completely....if you are off on your measurements by just a schoshe, your fence will be all caddy wampus. Clear as day to me.
For those that don't know, a schoshe is a unit of measure. It is equal to half a smidge.
@Pops1967GTX has a set of Vernier's that measure smaller distances than both of those. For those that don't know, a schoshe is a unit of measure. It is equal to half a smidge.
That's the ones....I was a young man working a summer job when I learned about the measurement called a CH and the ULTRA fine measurement called RCH.....
Cattywumpus or catawumpus are both acceptable spellings, ya heathen.I did a fence for a hillbilly woman that advised me to properly brace the posts so the fence wouldn’t be all “caddy wampus “.
Huh ??!
This is a footer......Cattywumpus or catawumpus are both acceptable spellings, ya heathen.
Oh....and "footers" has been used around me for all my 60+ years, from DC to GA.
"Footings" sounds all frilly and British.
Nope....done on purpose.Still haven't mastered that whole "resizing a graphic" thing, I see...
