Any C6 owners here?

I took the car for a test drive at noon today. I was surprised they let me take it out by myself. I was gone about 45 minutes. It was a good time. Sunny and 75 degrees.

The car handles like a dream. The last time I drove a Vette was my older friend's 70 when I just had my learner's permit. I found myself on a lonely country road within a few minutes. That's when I put the hammer down. This thing weighs next to nothing and reached 60 from a dead stop in seconds.

I tested all the knobs and buttons and made sure everything thing works before I headed back to the dealership. The coolest thing is the heads up display showing the tach and speed on the windshield in front of the driver.

There's plenty of room for a tall midget like myself. I was able to get myself into a Goldilocks driving position thanks to the tilt wheel and power telescoping column and power seat. It was surprisingly very comfortable and quiet with the windows closed.

These cars are beautiful, handle amazingly well and are a lot of fun to drive.

I have much respect for Vettes, but a Viper was my favorite, until I sat in it, and said Nope, not going to happen.
Not sure if I will ever have a vette, but over the years (64?) they are the best sounding car at Sebring on track.

I had a 2012 Grand Sport 1LT. Of course, I could not leave well enough alone. It was upgraded with new cam, headers, centrifugal supercharger, and meth injection. Made almost 700hp at the wheels. I rarely took it to the track, but did a bunch of 1/2 mile events. I sold it to by my 69 Road Runner. I wanted something I could work on myself.

You should have just gotten a bigger  driveway.

C5,6,7,8's are taking over all the cruise nights and car shows. All the old timers own them. I don't get it. Most can barely get in and out of them. Some are built extensively and I am sure are pretty fast.

Soooooo, you own it?

I drive a 2008 C6 a lot and I tell people all the time, It's the best bang for the buck that $25,000 will buy you.

They have enough power to get you trouble at anytime and enough brakes to keep you out of trouble most of the time.

You can drive them in all weather while having heat and AC, but most people won't give you the time of day when your out in one, and most think your a snob for driving one.

That's why I drive the Cobra. Everyone waves and you are always the center of attention at the gas station, or anywhere you go.

You think you want a Cobra until you have one and then you think just how nice it is the drive the Corvette with all it's comforts.

I’m a mopar man except the early ones the 58 is a factory fuel injection car. Bought it from a friend. Took 30 years to buy it. I just bought the 63. Local car that was a deal I couldn’t pass up. My kids gave me crap about buying them.

that is one fine garage. Love all the space. Awesome colors on both cars.

Well, did you buy it?

I drove a 2022 Challenger RT with the 5.7 liter this afternoon. Their Scat Pack Challenger was a manual. So I wasn't interested in driving it. Don't judge.

I don't want a Corvette anymore, if that tells you anything. Too hard to ingress/egress and I don't want to constantly worry about scraping the front.

I'm shopping for a low mileage Challenger Scat Pack. Wish me luck.

I bought a 2023 Challenger Scat Pack T/A with the stripe delete.

I'm taking the train to Ft Worth to pick it up.

Stay tuned for photos.

Here's a teaser.
