I wear a Rolex Submariner that I bought back in 1986 when the Navy Exchange had a deal with Rolex to sell one watch a year to Navy personnel who were based outside the continental US (I was based in Bermuda). I think the price was $400, which was a lot to an E-5 back then, but sure beats paying $3,000 or so now. :) Awesome watch. It's been through countless dives in salt and fresh water, been bammed and smacked into walls, furniture, floors, and everything else and had held up pretty well.

By the way, for you guys who use a cell phone instead of a watch, I asked my son what time it was a year or so ago, and he reached into his pocket, pulled out his cell, opened it up, and told me the time before saying if I had a cell phone I wouldn't need a watch. I busted up laughing because my grandfather had always carried a pocket watch, and when I would ask him what time it was he would reach into his pocket, pull out his watch, open it up, and tell me the time. He wanted to know what was so funny and I said he had just turned back the clock on about 100 years of progress in time keeping. :)

I agree I have a digital timex , have used this watch at work and have abused it and it takes a licking and keeps on ( running ) ticking. For $19.00 how can you go wrong.:headbang:

I have a friend that was just showing off his new ATV that he spent 20k on. He dress' like he needs a job wears a Timex!! :toothy5:

Bru- I was looking at the submariner before i bought this watch, it's more 8g's now!!! I really liked it, but im going to save it for my 15 or 20 anniversary...

This is my first good watch. I hope to get another every couple years, we'll see how things go. The skyhawk does more than i could ask from a watch, and it's pretty simple to use. I like it a lot.
