The thread taught us something, but it wasn't about bushings.
Sorry guys. I didn’t know the “kit” was different from the original in that it uses washers. I just pulled one of two bags that contained only one bushing each. I didn’t look under the second bag containing the other bushing. At the bottom of the box were the loose washers.
When I pulled the UCA out it was tight. I wonder how adding two washers to each side will change the stack up dimensionally….

Ok the bushing is a different dimension from the original. It is smaller/shorter to account for the additional washers. The washers add roughly an 1/8”.

Hey guys, I am looking to get confirmation BEFORE I press in my offset/eccentric bushings. The goal is to increase caster as much as possible. Does this look correct to you guys? Not bushing offset directions left and right.

Still wondering if anyone can confirm my eccentric bushing orientation above please. I believe it’s correct but because it’s a one time press fit I just wanted more concurance in the set up. It’s not documented in the FSM but I have read other threads ti get me to this set up.

Thank you. Yes I saw this and believe I have it correct. I know the bushings arrows are not really accurate for caster improvement as that was not the original purpose of the kit. Just looking for a thumbs up on my orientation. But Ill go with it as I have set up as it kicks the front of the UCA out and pulls the back of the UCA in which is sort of how it was explained (ball joint to move rearward).
It sounds like you have a handle on it. Get everything orientated properly and mark it with a felt pen, then you're sure , while you're squinting wondering if they're in right lol
So here is an pictorial of how I set the UCA eccentric/offset bushings for increasing caster. Hope this helps others in the future.

Think about the hole in the bushing being like the factory one with the hole in the center. Now look at what you have. Is it going to move the arm in out out?
Been giving this a lot of thought about the geometry. All say move the ball joint rearwards. This is the basic premise for how I installed the offsets.
The front moves away from the frame while the back moves inward closer to the frame. The net effect is having the ball joint rotate in an arc both away from the car and rearward.
Does this make sense? I never really saw a picture of what I posted that definitely shows how the offset bushings are installed and relative motion of the arm.
