At what age did you start smoking....

one thing I don't miss is the morning breath.

Coffee and a cigarette and I'm sure my mouth smelt of dead rat before I washed my teeth

My first cigarette was at around eight or so. I don’t think I would consider myself a smoker until around Eleven or twelve. I smoked between one and three packs a day for close to forty five years. Both my parents were smokers too. My dad quit in his mid fifties and died from copd at 86. Pretty good run I guess. I finally quit about five months ago. Hopefully for good. I truly enjoyed it and have dreams about smoking all of the time still. I don’t miss the smell or the cost. Hopefully it’ll buy me a bit more time. We shall see.. I wish I would hav made much better choices in life as far as health goes but it you truly believe you are invincible until life catches up and you realize your on the back 9 already.

I fooled around with them a little back in my heavy drinking days (when I was in my teens), but I didn't like inhaling, so I didn't. I mostly smoked (puffed) when I drank and I didn't get hooked (thank goodness).
I did inhale with the other stuff :fool: - had too, because otherwise, what was the point?:p

My grandfather smoked a pipe with Granger tobacco. That was a pleasant smell to me.

I was still in grade school. Snuck some Pall-Mall from my aunt. Really not a big smoker except when I was in the Army, then quit smoking when I was 21, although I will have a cigar once in awhile with friends.

Both of my parents smoked, I lost my mother in 2019 smoking was the contributing factor to her death ..I never picked up the habit and I have never smoked cig in my life

The way things are going, I’d start again if it didn’t stink everything up and piss people off so much.
I quit before smokers began being treated like second class Citizens hiding and 300 feet from doorways etc.

Just did another visit at the old folks home today. Much to like there, food is awesome, and my hot teacher from back in the day said I’m looking good and she’s waiting for me. No smoking on site. Maybe a Carlisle indulgence?

My dad died when he went on a hunger strike because they would not let him smoke in his room at the veterans home. They ordered forced feeding but it was too late. Smoking kills, in one way or another. Please stop now if you smoke. I quit 25 years ago and I am so happy that I did.

Well, I was treated as a second class citizen because I was allergic to it from the time I was a kid...and yup, some of us are and was so glad that my work place finally banned smoking in the work place. But, it's funny that cigars didn't bother me much so I smoked them around the cig smokers and they all bitched like Mother Fookers and all that did was make me smoke more cigars LOL. Talk about push back!! Anyways, being retired I don't have to put up with any of it anymore unless someone comes into my shop with a cig and then I tell them if they want to deal with me they have to stuff it! :D

3 years old used to pick up my dads pall malls unfiltered discards, used to drink his beer then too, been on a roll with the beer ever since, cigs never stuck but started chew at 19, lasted for 25 years, still have some beers now and then.

I started at age 21 and smoked for 21 years. Been off for 22 years now. If starting smoking wasn’t the dumbest thing I ever did it would certainly be number two. Only quit because at two packs a day it was actually killing me. Now I can’t stand to even be around it. Used to smoke piles of herb, too. I haven’t smoked it in about thirty years but I miss the smell of ‘70’s weed. The new stuff doesn’t smell the same.
