4 months ago I converted the car over to a 4 speed, and beat the ever livin hell out of that 318 until it could take no more...LOL
It ended up cracking a piston /wrist pin. So I pulled it out of the car, and tore it apart.
So now my "plan" is to build a dedicated short block with a forged K1 crank, H-beam rods, 8.0:1 forged pistons, with a hydraulic roller suitable just for boost. I will still use the stock 3.31 stroke for the crank as this is only a 162 ci blower, I've read they produce less boost once ya get bigger than 360 ci. I also am thinking about selling those RHS heads I have, and buying a bare set of edelbrocks & have Brian @ IMM rework them.
Well, Thats the plan! I'll update once I get the rotating assembly.
