Well my buddy came and got the charger. I have been waiting a year and a half to get metal work done. Funny how I thought one person was going to do it and for me guess God has a different plan. Hoping it will be back by June. 2 floor pans, tail light panel and lower valance and some odds and ends. Now I got to hit Big Money Mike AKA @Charles Cook up for a loan to pay for it.

You can get it buddy. But we all know if you own a Charger you have deep pockets. Glad you’re moving in the right direction.

Great to see some forward progress. I finally got my car down off the lift after putting way all the stuff that was under it,so I can make a couple templates for you so you will have them when the car comes back. Pictures are before and after.

I thought you forgot and I did not want to keep bugging you about it,thanks.

I was going to try to do it off a ladder, but I finally faced up to the fact that I needed to put the stuff that accumulates rapidly away and make the work bay functional again. If possible I will try to make them up tomorrow. I have no idea what the wife has planned for me yet!

Overall that car looks pretty solid compared to many getting done these days. Congrats I wish I would have kept the 69 I had bought when I was 14...

Most any second generstion Charger can be saved these days, thanks to AMD. I parted out about 100 of them in the eighties, because there was no sheetmetal to save rusty New England Chargers. Dave's Charger looks remarkably solid compaired to some of the basket cases you see guys rebuilding these days.

I would prefer the term "reconstructed" over "saved" ........ the only thing they saved was the vin....... not that I'm against that......

I'm all for saving any Daytona in any condition. It's not like they pulled it out of the junkyard and rolled out a finished car. They did it on national television. The market determines the value of reconstructed cars.

does it put to bed the "rebody" argument?......... or if we use solid donor sections, do we still go to jail? :poke:

It's being done all the time. Everyone's interpretation of how much is too much varies.

Just dont understand why AMD does not make the 70 fenders.
