Back in the day..............
You didn't have jack stands or a floor jack and you learned to not trust your bumper jack..........

Scrambler at "Old Town" in Kissimee.

Tilt-a-whirl still at many traveling fairs.

I'd love to have a tilt-a-whirl in my back yard.

One of my favorite rides ever.

Probably because you can partially control how it behaves from inside the car.

My dad was a navy guy. I remember I got this one Christmas......

I had scads and scads of Airfix "HO/OO" soldiers.

Many different sets. IIRC they were like $2 for 25-35 in each set.

We would chose several to be officers and NCO's and put a sticker on the bottom with basically D&D type stats.

Also used them with aircraft and vehicles as playing pieces for strategy games like Panzer Leader.

We used the D&D starts to modify as rules statistics so we had a better chance of not loosing our favorite characters.

I know, WAY too intense for a 12-14 year old.
