On my 700 RR i have a new NSS harness but there is no pigtail on the firewall connector to plug in.
Can i just thread the harness through the firewall, crimp the 2 wires together [3 prong NSS switch] and locate the backup wire and splice into that .

What about the other black from the NSS going into the 'D' connector or should i just splice it to other black going into 'C'

The connection to the backup lights is in the bulkhead terminal #1, connector "C". It's a black/tr in the engine compartment and changes to a white/tr inside. That runs to the connector under the kick panel and becomes a violet wire.

I'm wondering what the harness you have looks like. Is it this? How long are the pigtails?

If so, I would check the condition of the existing wires to the bulkhead and the starter relay and if good, properly splice the three wires at whatever spot is convenient and safe from obstacles. Did you already do the connection for the starter relay?

All good now thanks, i cut the plug off soldered male connectors on and plugged them into the bulkhead connector
