Bad ballast ???

This is for mopar ecu's only not aftermarket or replaces" ones.

Let me rephrase this. Chrysler electronic ignition, orange box with 4 pins, 2 prong ballast & std coil. What ohm ballast should i have connected ??
 
1.2 ohm if it is a real box. Have a picture of it?

He said 4 pin ecu. Your chart show .5 ohms as I stated. So does the service manual. Using a higher ohm ballast won't hurt anything just reduce the energy available especially at higher rpm when dwell time is less.

Your coil matter in this case too. The ballast is to protect the coil not the ECU. So most of this was based on using a stock coil. Change the coil and you might have to change the ballast also.
