Battery for 71 318

Does anyone know the cheapest way/place to get a battery for my 71 318? I don't even know what battery it takes, I looked on rock auto but they are pretty expensive. I do not care about it being oem or anything. Thanks!

You need a Group 24 battery. Not a group 24F, that will have the posts reversed.

This is an industry number that anyone selling batteries will know.

So call around and buy one local to you. You don't want to pay shipping on a battery.

There are only a few battery manufacturers in the US. Go to Wal MArt and get one. If you have issues you can warranty it at any store, where ever you are.
