Looking to clean up and repaint my 6-hole cop wheels, but need to know what rattle can paint gives the most durable & close to factory (Black) color attainable? Eastwoods? Duplicolor? Rustoleum?

Thanks in advance.

Rustoleum is excellent but it dries slow. Keep the parts where bugs can’t fly in and land on them before they dry.

Is it a semi gloss? John Deere has some dynomite black paints.

SEMs is an egg shell finish, not exactly a satin. Just under satin in sheen. VHT is another one that is good. Chassis paint or roll bar versions of their blacks.
RustOleum is slower in drying because of the fish oils in the formula. Their new spray tip caps are not my cup of tea. The old stuff from the 70's was top notch, not anymore.

Remember... Paint is ALL in the prep!

For durability, Black appliance paint. I've painted wheels even over chrome with good results, I use to use it exclusively on motorcycle frames, very chip resistant.
It will be gloss, but if you spray a second coat within 10 min, it will dull to a Satin. Paint is very forgiving, almost self leveling, but easy to over spray and cause runs, take your time. Try it on an old wheel first to get the hang of it.
I like HDepot's version over Lowes

I painted the 2 front fenders on this Jeep with it.
side note, that's a 99 TJ that i grafted a CJ front clip to, prolly won't see another on a TJ.

Clever set-up! Thanks for sharing.
Here's the link to the full process....
