I like eating at McDonald's once in a while. So when I do eat there, I want REAL junk food! Not something grown on a bush. LOL!

....chemical stew of colon busting mess. Lord knows what the long term effects of this crap are. Fast food is bad enough as it is, rather than ingesting 100% human made protein. I think old seat covers were more nutritious.
 
Constipation correction is having 2 quarter pounders with cheese, works every time. Elvis could have lived another 10-15 years had this fact been known.

There was a time in my young adult life I should have owned stock in McDonald's, I ate so much of it.
It wasn't great, sure, but there was a consistent level of quality to it that the competition lacked.
Those days are LONG gone, though - have been for several years now.
Absolute crap.
Ditto Taco Bell, Burger King and several others - the quality and the prep have gone to ****.
That said...

The wife and I were running around sightseeing today (we're both on vacation) and I suggested we
try a Wendy's in a town down the road a ways, since neither of us had been to one in years.
Not expecting much, we were instead delighted to find that Dave's place still did things the way they
always have - everything was as good as ever, certainly better than any fast food in our home town.
I was stunned.

I do like the Taco Salad at Wendy's...
 
There is 1 DQ in south Jersey, down by Atlantic City, more of a ice cream stand: Son, both granddaughters & I had to go from KS to Tx and back: we stopped in a DQ, believe southern OK, CLEAN PLACE, GREAT SERVICE AND GOOD FOOD!!

yep my favorite 'used to be' Dairy Queen, A&W
or even some Sonics while on the road
way back when, made to order & car hops, like old days
I haven't been to any in well over a decade

My dad knows our local KFC owner, 40+ years 'besties buddies'
they used to work together at the school, many moons ago
every so often 'a couple times a year' he comes by & brings some
he hand makes & it doesn't look like the stuff they serve at the store
great coleslaw, great big biscuits,
'crispy' with the org. KFC recipe chicken 'with lots of batter'
I wish they would sell it like that to the public
I'd still eat there

they have std's to serve as a franchise
he rants about the chain stuff a lot
