BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires

Mopar Thunder, Totally awesome car!! Is it a true R/T? Is that original color? I am building a tribute 68 R/T as a tribute to my favorite cousin(Who passed away). He had one exactly like that when we were kids. I hunted the car he had for many years with no luck. So I am building one like it right down to the 8 track. Just wanted to say what a beautiful car you have there. Even the picture stirs many memories.

Dreamcatcher, First Thanks, that is so cool that you are doing that. Yes it is a true R/T. I have only had it for about 3-4 weeks I guess. I found it in Illinois and it has been sitting for about 8 years. It has taken a lot of cleaing, scrubbing, polishing and waxing to get the outside to look like that. I think it came up great. No I don't believe it is the original color. The code is GG-1 which is the racing green metallic, a really dark color and I have seen small hidden areas that show a darker green color. I think this is the medium green metallic (TT-1). It supposedly only has 1 repaint so why it was a different color who knows, did the painter make a mistake or did the owner want it that color. An 8-Track would be cool to have. Good luck on your build and show some pics, I would love to see it.

MT I have to ask out of curiosity. Have you done any research on your car? Like original owner or where it came from (dealership)? The car I was chasing all these years came from WY and was owned first by a person with the last name Wells. I gave up the chase about a year ago and just bought a base charger to build. But I still wonder what happened to the car.

Dreamcatcher: I have been giving it serious thought because I really would like to know the history and if this is an original almost untouched with very low miles. It would give me a better idea on what I should and shouldn't do to it.

There are probably people on here that know all the in's and outs of a vin search. I don't know too much about it. But as good as that car looks it would be very nice to know its history.
