He was asking about the VIN pad along the oil pan area. Is it stamped or blank?

I rebuilt the motor in 1988. thats why the inside is painted. The car was an automatic, it was ruined in the fire. I do have the stamped ID pad from the engine compartment. I will dig it up. Where would I find the info on the Dana ?

I might be wrong but I thought you had to have the 4 speed to get the Dana unless it had a Hemi with an automatic. There will be numbers on the rear of the tubes usually the right side tube as I recall.

No. The applications of a Dana 60 change and can vary year to year.

you could get a dana with an automatic. this car had a auto on the column with bucket seats. also had the extra leaf spring. before I rebuilt it my best time was 13.59 @ 107 I had two people in the back seat and my future wife in the front. I think it was the only time I did not spin the G-60's half way down the track. Good times for sure.

Those commonly have replacement blocks and motors.
A lot can happen in the 2500 miles before you got it. And you said he raced it.

when the porter hammered the gas peddle it went boom and the dealer had to fix before sale j.m.o.

NO, was available w / torqueflite only. WITH torqueflite only. Not available with A/C. Couldn't get it with a 4 speed.

For 1969 and 1970, the A32 Super performance package included the automatic and 4:10 gears..

The A34 package was called Super Track pack. It had the four speed with 4:10 gears.

In 71, either the automatic OR the four speed were in the A34 package.
