Block ID help

Well I actually have quite a few other 440 blocks. I even had a 94 trailduster with a 440.
You can pm me if you do really want it. But heading to bed now
Yes a 74. For about 3 months they made them without a door frame around the windows. That way when you took the top off you only had the windshield. It was a super fun truck.

For 1969 and 1970, the A32 Super performance package included the automatic and 4:10 gears..

The A34 package was called Super Track pack. It had the four speed with 4:10 gears.

In 71, either the automatic OR the four speed were in the A34 package.
Was the dana 60 standard with the 4 speed and either the 440 or hemi? Seemed to me a lot of my 440 4 speed cars did not have a track pack option.

Dana 60 with 3.54 gears standard with 440, 440-6, Hemi and 4 SPD.

Then you have A34 option on top of that to get 4.10 gears.

when I used to do a lot more Mopar fun, I think you got a dana with any Hemi combo or 6bbl. I have seen some 440 manual cars with 8 3/4 rear ends, ?? or that's what I remember.

No
Dana came std only with 440-4, 440-6, and Hemi.

Only could get it with an auto in 1969, 1970, and 1971 IF you ordered the optional A34 package that had 4.10 Dana.

People swapped a lot of parts around black in the day.

Yes a lot of part swapping. I once used a friends 8 3/4 with 2:93's for a summer when I was driving from PHX to Sedona every weekend. I wanted better milage (almost 19 driving on only the center 2bbl. and we wanted to see how fast it would go.
One of the guys in that group found a 69 charger 500 (440) in a junkyard. He used it in claimer races on a dirt circle track in town.

No. When equipped with an automatic, the 8.75 was standard behind a Hemi or 440 unless you ordered the A32/A34 package, then you got the Dana. You could get 3:55 gears with an automatic and 8.75 behind a Hemi or 440.

The only way to get a four speed behind a 67-71 Hemi or 440 was in a package that contained both the four speed and Dana rear end. Neither was a stand alone option that could be ordered. They came together in the package that, typically, contained other items like a 26" radiator, dual point distributors etc..

A 440 four speed with an 8.75 was not factory. Something got swapped along the way.

fender tag, I'm interested about this.

If I read that tag correctly that was an early built car. Scheduled 8-14-1969. So that will answer the question on the block as it was cast 2-9-1970. So the car was built well before that blocks casting. So some time after 2-1970 that car had the block replaced. They should of had a black box in those cars.

I did find the build sheet under the back seat. it was in terrible shape, and I'm not sure if it was the correct one for the car. I remember it showed it has a 383 car. the sheet got burnt up.
