Ran this blown 505 on the dyno today. It is for a local Pro Street car, not a race car. The blower is under driven and carbs are set up a little on the rich side just so the guy will be able to drive it without blowing it up. We limited the pull to 5500 RPM since it is a stock block. Made 700/700 at 5500 so that is enough for a Pro Street car!

Only to 5500 rpms?
That seems really low for a blown engine, even one with a longer stroke. Do you think the power peak was right there or further up the scale?

Power was still climbing but it is a stock block and we didn't want to blow it up on the dyno.

Here is a link to a short video showing the engine warming up on the dyno. Nothing super exciting, just running at a fast idle after the first fire up. We run it for a few minutes to get to temp and then shut it down and look at the oil filter and check for leaks and all of that stuff. This engine wasn't too much of a bother, had to jet it up a couple of sizes and that was it. No other problems.

Engine testing is finished up and the engine is ready to go home. Customer was super happy. It made 715 hp and 700 torque when he came to watch the dyno pulls.
