Well, after spending Friday morning with the guys at Classics Plus Inc., I think we've landed on a driveline platform. First, let me say these cats are top notch! Professional, experienced, honest and humble. Ken, the owner; and Jeff the manager, truly have a passion for Hot Rods and have built a team with the same passion.

The mill will be a Tom Nelson Gen II Hemi platform. Likely Indy Longblock. I know what some here think of Indy but it's Toms responsibility. From what I've seen. It will be right. A&A 727 w/ gear vendors OD., Strange eng. rear end Ford 9" pig.

Couple quick shots... We have a long way to go!!

Just want to put this out here,,,,Indy makes a fine product and gave it to us the help of Herb. The problem with INDY comes from the top and his partners in grime. As long as yo buy Indy pruducts through a knowledgable vender, like Bob George and there are plenty more that sell and can machine thier parts properly they are a GREAT product. Most of the horror stories is when you have THEM put it together be it just a set of heads or a crate engine.
Sounds like you have a great team on your side and look foward to the progress of your project, can't wait to see it make a pass!!
Here's my friends,,,,,,,,,too bad it chebby powered:icon_pai:

Finally starting to move a bit. Recd the modified rear clip from Art Morrison and began by attaching it to the front and attaching the body. Setting this up similar to a B Body UniBody.

I'm liking that Willys build 2059

love the steam rollers in the rear too

Looking good. I'm a huge fan of big tires.
You can't rely on KB to get you a block , lots of folks are pissed about the 1-2yr waits with full payouts on the piece.

Thanks,

Jeff from Classics Plus is heading out there next week to get visit Tom and get an update on progress. We're in no hurry.

I missed something...
Thought the blown Hemi that was in the '64 was going in the Willys?

Car is looking great!

That's where we started but one thing lead to another. I'll use the one from the '64 in something else... maybe a 60's powerwagon...

That's a shitty problem to have. LOL

Willys and Hemis go together like PB&J!

Bad ***!! That plastic block seems to have the distributor hole in the wrong location. Will you be using a distributor??

Some update photos. Asked David Barton to send the blown hemi that he was rebuilding over CPI. They don't trust a fiberglass dummy as we are dealing with 1/4" clearances. Going to use it to accurately set the engine, trans, and O/D mounts.
