Ordered 2 NEW (not rebuilt) from rock auto because I noticed both of my rear cylinders had one bolt head snapped off. Put em both in and the new ones are BOTH leaking. I even took one apart, inspected it, reinstalled and... LEAKING AGAIN. Seriously, WTF!? :banghead:

Contact Rock Auto. Send them back and or get areplacement.

could have been sitting on the shelf for a while and dried out.prob cracked as soon as you put presure to them.

Chinkesium replacement parts. That's why I like to rebuild my own from genuine Chrysler castings. If you can take them apart, why didn't you rebuild them? Easy peasy and like 5 bucks a piece for kits.

Good points guys. I need to call rock auto, no doubt they're both old dry rotted chinesium. When i rebuilt it i just took it apart, cleaned, lubed with brake fluid and reused the seals and it looked pretty good but i guess not.

Yeah, rusty, the old one was in rough shape. A bolt was broken off plus the bleeder valve was stuck, which in a moment of frustration i broke off (i know) so i figured i'd just order a new one since they're only $10. Serves me right for breaking that damn bleeder valve. i could easy out it but i thought i might damage the seating surface so i didnt bother. Maybe a NAPA part will be better.

Maybe 20 years ago on the NAPA part. I don't know man. I'm skiddish of anything now. I think it all comes from overseas. I wish you luck.

Well that says it all, now doesnt it. Seems like NAPA came through for me but we'll see this weekend when I install. Thanks again, fellas, for letting me vent lol.

Bought new wheel cylinders for my Dakota....made in Italy. Worked well but had metric sized bleeder valves. If the crap is from China, I won't buy them and don't care too much for other countries either but anything that's not made in China is usually good.
