It was built like that. There was no wiring on that side.

My 71 has them too for no reason.

My 70 has them too. There’s nothing in it. My guess is so the carpet rolls the same on both sides. IDK

Might be a 70 up thing. Was seat belt warning lamps added as an option in 70? I know it was offered in 71-73 before it became mandatory. The wiring for that would run there for the passenger side.

I believe 66-70 on the shields dont know the 71 on up.

I bought a 70 once also, then another and another, and another. Up to four 70's currently. Your project is coming along nicely.

sick for a week......... but back at it

patching the bottoms of the wheel houses is pretty common, but this one also had crap in the hinge brackets........ I love new metal

I'll split those hinge brackets at the seam also, and get em cleaned up

I braced up the hinge area, I'm in kinda deep
