I just traded my satellite for a 67 coronet, the coronet came from the factory with drums all around. The front brakes have been converted to disk from a dodge dart donor car.
The seller says he put the MS from the dart on the car as well but when I drove it I really had to put my foot down to stop this thing.

Do dart brakes not belong on a B body? Is the MS wrong? Or is there another problem entirely???

Thanks in advance!

Something is not right, I have '74 dart brakes on my cars and they both stop great. Did the guy put the dart proportioning valve in it too?

I'll have to take a closer look at it, I would assume it has the stock valve.

A-body MC could have the wrong bore size.

On my conversion (64 ply), I picked up a new master from Napa, using a disc/drum manual brake master (lol) for a 67 Coronet. Main thing is to go for application...what brake set-up, and size of car.

I installed a MC from a 69 Valiant on my 66 Belvedere and it worked very well but the pedal did go down a bit more because of the smaller bore but pedal effort was easier. The car has drums all around so it's not made for a disc setup but if it was, I would think it would still work fine. What I did was convert from a single master to a dual. The fittings were different but using adapters did the trick. Why did I do it this way? Had a Valiant with a new master and the adapters were free too.....
