Hey a nubie here i just bought a 1970 off of another forum member... I am not a mechanic but know my way around tools and fixing stuff... grew up poor..

My brake lights went out and the first thing i did was check the fuses and they look good..

I guess there is a wire set up on the actual brake pedal that i should check also right.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Side note when i picked the car up.. the dome light did not work and one blinker worked sometimes.

Check for bad ground or blown bulbs.

Check brakelight switch

And how did you check the fuses to make sure they looked right? With a test light on both sides?

It is worthwhile checking the turn signal switch also - need to carefully pull the steering wheel using the correct pullers.

Oh, and welcome to the site :hello2:
